Introduction to Circus Arts
The circus arts are an exciting hybrid of art and sport. In this class you'll dive into the basics of a multitude of circus disciplines, including aerial apparatus (including lyra and straps) tumbling acrobatics, handstands, Flexibility and alignment. The circus arts have been proven to, improve physical fitness, build strength, and create community. No experience is necessary to participate, and all skills can be modified for different levels of fitness.
All Circus Classes Dress Code - If hair is shoulder length or longer; it must be pulled up into a bun or high ponytail, tight fitted shirt, and leggings. You may wear a leotard under leggings or a unitard or shorts over leggings. Sports Bras as a shirt and baggy clothes are prohibited for safety in Aerial apparatuses.
Circus 1
The next level of learning after our Introduction to Circus Arts class is Circus 1. This class will continue the blending of art and sport. In this class you'll move past the basics and begin to learn specific skills of a multitude of circus disciplines, including aerial apparatus (including lyra and straps) tumbling acrobatics, handstands, Flexibility and alignment. The circus arts have been proven to, improve physical fitness, build strength, and create community. Experience taking our Introduction to Circus Arts or comparable experience is necessary to participate, and as in all classes, all skills can be modified for different levels of fitness.
Circus 2
The next level of learning after our Circus 1 class is Circus 2. This class will continue the blending of art and sport. In this advanced level class, students will continue to progress skills in a multitude of circus disciplines, including aerial apparatus (including lyra and straps) tumbling acrobatics, handstands, Flexibility and alignment. Students will learn how to create a performance act, as well as, learn how to rig equipment. Experience taking our Circus 1 class or comparable experience is necessary to participate, and as in all classes, all skills can be modified for different levels of fitness.
Introduction to Circus Arts - Adults
Want to learn to take off into the air? Want some excitement in your fitness routine? Just want to have fun? Circus classes focus on building strength and confidence, developing body awareness, and learning to move and think creatively while maintaining an emphasis on proper technique and injury prevention. Our small classes allow students of all levels to learn at their own pace, with movements tailored to each student's skill, fitness, and flexibility level. No experience is necessary to participate.
